Your 11 – 15 year old will gain basic skills to care for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children by learning how to create a safe environment, deal with phone calls or unexpected visitors, and how to react confidently in case of an emergency, such as choking, bleeding, poisoning, or burns. As well as how to cope with common problems, such as tantrums and crying.
Family First Aid
This safety & prevention seminar is specially designed for parents and care-givers of infants and children. Content includes how to recognize and respond to common childhood medical emergencies, including choking, allergic reactions and seizures. The workshop also includes how to perform CPR with an AED, and important information regarding poisons, drowning and Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Elder Care Workshop
2 hour workshop great for everyone who spends time with elderly friends and family.
Learn how to respond to a choking elderly person and perform CPR using an AED. The workshop also covers respiratory and circulation emergencies and other medical emergencies, such as heat stroke and diabetic emergencies.
3 hour workshop specially formatted to benefit individuals who are layman caregivers to family and friends. Covers Family First Aid and Elder Care Workshops content.
